I am a Senior in High School, orginally from Los Angeles CA, currently residing in Atlanta GA. I am a Varsity Point Guard at Riverwood International Charter School. My overall goal is to earn a scholarship at a college, where I can further my education earning a college degree, and playing basketball at a competitive level. I try to volunteer as often as I can, I am committed to giving back to the community and others in need. I believe in hard work and dedication and I am always looking for growth in things that I take value in. One of my favorite quotes that I stand by: "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy." — Martin Luther King Jr.

Riverwood Basketball Star Jamahl Davis Recruited by Wingate University

May 1, 2012

Riverwood basketball player Jamahl Davis has committed to play basketball at Wingate University, in Wingate N.C. He was recruited as a point guard.

At Riverwood, Jamahl was team captain, MVP, Raider Athlete of the Month, and Neighbor Athlete of the Month. He averaged 16 points, 4.5 assists and 2 steals per game, making 1st Team All-Region.

“In Jamahl, Wingate is getting a true point guard and floor leader," said Riverwood Coach Buck Jenkins, in a statement. "Jamahl is a player that is as comfortable making big shots as he is creating easy opportunities for his teammates to score. He was a pleasure to coach and I look forward to watching his continued development at Wingate University.”

Jamahl, 17, of Sandy Springs is the son of Shonae Jacobs, and grandson of Willette Jacobs
